Lindsay was first elected onto North Kesteven District Council in 2011, in Bracebridge Heath and Waddington East. Lindsey was re-elected to North Kesteven District Council in May 2023.
In addition to this, Lindsey was elected as the County Councillor for Washingborough in May 2017 and was re-elected in May 2025.
