Message from the Association Chairman

Dear Members and Supporters,

This is the first Newsletter we have issued for some time so I do hope you enjoy reading it.

What a tumultuous year it has been so far. We have had the local and PCC elections, congratulations to Marc Jones our new Police and Crime Commissioner, and to all our successful city council candidates. This was followed by a historic EU referendum the result of which brings in a new and exciting dawn.

We now have to concentrate on two important issues: We congratulate Theresa May, our new Party Leader and Prime Minister, and support the government as we prepare to exit the European Union. Secondly we now have to pull our Party together to fight the common enemy.

David Cameron has been a Prime Minister who has shown great statesmanship and has steered the ship through some very troubled waters. We wish him well in his retirement from the front bench.

Our membership continues to grow apace but we still have work together to further strengthen the Association. I welcome our new members and hope that they will play an active part in the Association, both politically and socially.

The selection of candidates for the County Council elections on the 4th of May next year has been concluded and campaigning will commence shortly.

Please get in touch with me either through the Association website or contact me at: eddie.strengiel@gmail.com
