Sara Cliff, a Methodist Minister, was elected in May 2009 to represent Lincoln East, largely the City Abbey Ward.
Sara was born in Manchester and has been resident in Lincoln for four years. She is a Governor of Waddington Redwood and her concerns as a County Councillor will concentrate on the community, health and the environment. A qualified power boat instructor Sara enjoys the wide open rural spaces as well as the cultural centre of Lincoln with its Cathedral and historic buildings.
Her first ventures into employment involved trainee accountancy and science teaching. Sara left teaching in 2001 when she held the position of Head of Year, as a science teacher and with responsibility for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme.
Sara’s work as a Methodist Minister reflects her lifetime involvement of working with the voluntary and community sectors.
Away from work and politics you will often find Sara walking in the Lincolnshire Wolds, visiting the cinema and theatre and sharing time with friends and family.
