Pauline has lived in the Glebe Ward over 8 years and has seen many changes in the area. Both Pauline and her husband have actively campaigned during this time against anti-social behaviour and against the badly designed traffic calming scheme on Wolsey Way.
Pauline is Chairman of the Glebe Park Neighbourhood Police Panel and attends meetings of the Glebe Park Residents’ Association. Additionally, Pauline has assisted City Councillor David Denman in his campaigns and Glebe Ward casework.
Pauline would like to continue to pursue issues that are important to the people of Glebe, for which the County Council is responsible, for example:
- Wolsey Way Traffic Calming Scheme
- Pavements in St. Giles
- Advance, meaningful consultation for all residents regarding traffic schemes
- Adequate provision of care of the elderly.
Pauline was a banking professional until her retirement in 1998. Her ultimate position was as a manager of a building society branch, a position which she held for 13 years. Pauline feels her skills in personnel and cash management, accountancy, auditing and training staff, will enable her to handle Glebe Ward case work and to contribute to the work of the County Council.
Pauline has several hobbies amongst which are: D.I.Y., gardening, dressmaking, indoor bowls (at which Pauline professes to have been lucky enough to represent Lincolnshire) and cricket.
If elected, Pauline intends to be accessible to all constituents and will hold surgeries regularly (twice a month) with her Conservative City Council colleagues on Lincoln City Council.
