Kelly Smith is a Lincoln boy born & bred!
Kelly was born in Lincoln and spent his early years living in Hartsholme. He attended Hartsholme Primary School, Skellingthorpe Middle, and then City School before progressing on to North
Lincolnshire College to concentrate on IT studies. He now runs a local computer helpdesk business which he co-founded in 1995 and employs around 60 people from the Lincoln area.
As well as being a company director, Kelly is a primary school governor for the local authority and a volunteer business mentor.
Interests outside politics include playing keyboards in a rock tribute band and being a keen runner, having completed three Lincoln 10k road races and a half marathon in London last year.
Kelly is married with two young sons, and firmly believes that strong families and family responsibility are key to solving some of the social problems we face today.
Politics
Kelly is a strong believer in people being involved with shaping their own future and having a say in how money is spent in their area. Having already worked with the police and various community organisations he is in a position to fight on behalf of the residents of Moorland on issues that are important to them such as reducing anti-social behaviour, increasing activities for young people and improving pavements and road safety.
