Andrew has been a City Councillor for the Hartsholme Ward since 2007. Andrew has lived in Lincoln all his life and works locally for a company providing quality transport for schools in the area and has been active in campaigning to tackle the problems of speeding on Fulmar Road.

Andrew is Chairman of the Policy Scrutiny Committee and Vice Chairman of  both the Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Sub Committee and Value for Money Scrutiny Committee. He also serves on the Licensing Committee.
