I am delighted to present you with a summary of the submissions received to our July discussion brief on ‘Natural Resources’. It has been sent to Richard Benyon MP, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Natural Environment and Fisheries, and I look forward to his response to all of our recommendations.

This was our most popular paper to date, and the submissions we received focused on both your experiences of your own local environments, and the importance of natural resources for our nation and the world. This was an issue which our members clearly felt very strongly about and we have endeavoured to reflect this strength of feeling in the summary.
